DIY Journals

Today we are throwing it back to 2020 when Gardener Aidan taught us how to make our own journal or notebook on Session 3 of Camp Hello Gardeners®! All you need is construction paper, copy paper, scissors and a rubber band.

Journaling is one of our favorite 'gardening tools' for our emotional toolkit*, as it helps us be present minded, connect with our feelings and express what we are 'growing through' at that particular moment. By writing our thoughts down on a frequent basis, it helps build confidence when it comes to expressing our feelings and thoughts and is extremely beneficial for our social and emotional development! Having our own journal provides a safe space for us to write about our thoughts and experiences and the perfect place to #PullYourWeeds!
