Materials Needed for the Flower Emotions Wheel:

  • Thick white paper

  • Markers

  • Scissors

  • Brass tack

  • Two circular objects (a bowl for tracing)


This delightful gardening tool is perfect for use at home or in the classroom, helping gardeners identify their 'weeds' – those negative feelings – and become comfortable with them. The Flower Emotions Wheel offers a gentle approach to understanding your emotions and discovering positive gardening tools to help you grow through them...Weeds to Seeds!

This is a wonderful tool to use at home and in the classroom to help gardeners practice identifying their feelings and getting comfortable with them. Using these flowers wheels is a gentle way to help you make sense of your feelings and find positive tools to grow through them.

Utilizing a Flower Emotion Wheel or other 'gardening tools' can help in identifying and comprehending difficult emotions, making it simpler to process them in healthy ways.

Gardener Kelsey's Tips:

  • If you don’t have thick paper, regular computer paper will work just as well!

  • Ensure you have at least eight different colored markers available so each emotion/gardening tool can be represented by its own color.

  • Feel free to adjust the size of your wheel based on the dimensions of your circular objects.
