Keep your garden green

Hey gardeners, have you ever found yourself stuck in the 'weeds' where all you can do is focus on how you are feeling and thinking about negative things? As gardeners, it is important to recognize when we need help getting out of the 'weeds' and back to our beautiful flowers (positive thoughts). Today's new 'gardening tool' features a very simple grounding exercise that can help you take your mind off your feelings and shift back to the present moment. Having healthy skills aka gardening tools to manage our emotions is what gardening is all about!

Keep Your Garden Green Grounding Technique (for gardeners of all ages)

-Look around and find 3 green things

-Write them down (on our activity sheet below)

-Write 2-3 sentences describing each of these object.

(No paper & pencil-no problem-This exercise can be done in your head or as a group discussion).
